This page states plainly what Exchange Desk is, who it is for, how it is funded and what it does not promise. It applies to every page on this site.
Content
Every page on this site is general educational material about how betting exchanges and two-sided markets
work. It is not betting advice, investment advice, financial advice, tax advice or legal advice, and it is not
tailored to any person’s circumstances. No page predicts an outcome or recommends a selection, market or
operator. Rates, rules, market definitions and commission bases are set by individual operators, vary between
them and change over time; nothing here is a statement of what any particular operator does.
Age and eligibility
This site is intended for adults aged 18 or over. The legal age for gambling, and the legality of
exchange betting itself, depends on where you are. It is your responsibility to know and follow the law that
applies to you. Nothing on this site is directed at anyone below the legal age.
Risk
Betting and exchange trading carry a real risk of losing money, and a lay position can lose considerably
more than the stake committed. There is no strategy described anywhere on this site that removes that risk or
guarantees a return. Commission, the spread between the best back and best lay price, void markets,
suspensions and resettlements can all reduce what a position is worth, including after settlement.
If it stops being entertainment
Gambling harm is common and treatable. If betting is affecting your money, your sleep, your work or the
people around you, stop and contact a national gambling-harm helpline or support service in your country.
These services are free and confidential, and they are there for the people around a bettor as well.
